School Clubs

High quality clubs and activities are an important part of our school life. Extra-curricular activities provide an opportunity for children to enjoy experiences and develop skills in areas that might not be on offer in the usual school curriculum. They are an excellent way to foster good relationships between staff, pupils and parents. They develop children’s social skills by providing a forum of interaction between children across different ages. Clubs and activities are matched to our staff’s expertise and interests and make the most of the resources we have in our school. It is important that children experience as many different activities as possible, so we endeavour to provide as wide and varied a range of clubs as we can - we tap into the expertise of our parent body to extend the range of clubs on offer. In some cases, clubs are run by external providers who make a charge for attendance.

Once children have joined a club we do expect them to attend regularly. If children are not able to participate in the club they should tell the member of staff leading the club as soon as possible.

Before and After School Club

The school offers a facility for 'Early Bird Arrivals'. This facility is provided for those parents who need to drop their children off at school after 8.00 a.m, and is supervised by members of staff. Parents need to complete a registration form which can be downloaded or obtained from the school office. The charge for the use of the facility is £30 per term.

Please note that breakfast is not provided for the children.

Woolhampton CE Primary School does not provide an After School Club on the premises. However, we are linked to the Bradfield Sunshine Club, a registered child care organisation located in Bradfield Southend Village Hall. The club is available for parents to use. The club has its own modern 15 seat minibus, which operates a pick-up service from the school.

For further information about the Sunshine Club please contact Linda Barnes on 01189 744712 or 07946 634694 or visit their website.
