British Values
Promoting Fundamental British Values
In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain.
Our school’s Christian vision states: “Jesus welcomed all and we embrace diversity…” It is this vision that underpins all that we do at Woolhampton, including our approach to teaching Fundamental British Values. Our aim is to guide our children on their journey to becoming caring, responsible, democratic and tolerant British citizens who will make a positive contribution to British society and the wider world. We encourage our children to be creative, unique, open-minded and independent individuals, respectful of themselves and of others in our school, our local community and the wider world.
In the words of our school prayer: we respect ourselves, others and the world we live in… we open our hearts and our arms to our neighbours and we celebrate our differences.
