• Open Mornings

  On 19th September, 4th and 19th October, we will be holding Open Mornings for prospective pupils.  Join us for a tour and to learn more about our school community.  Children are welcome to attend.  Please contact the office to book a place as numbers will be limited.

• World Book Day

  We had a great time celebrating our love of reading on World Book Day.  Each class performed a book of their choice to the rest of the school during a special assembly - it was lots of fun!

   

  

• Young Archers Take Aim

  Well done to our team of young archers - they had lots of fun competing in an archery competition at Theale Green School. They came an impressive 4th place out of 12 schools. Good work everyone!

   

  

• Christmas Tree Decoration

  Our Reception Class children were invited to decorate the Christmas tree at St Peter's Church. The children did a fantastic job and the tree looks very festive.

  

• Outdoor Classroom Celebration

  We celebrated the official opening of our new outdoor learning space. Year 6 helped host some VIPs and our Sycamore class showed their outdoor learning in action with an active Maths lesson, comparing numbers and making the Roman and Celtic army from pegs.

  All the children sang beautifully and it was lovely to celebrate together and give our thanks to the Parish Council for our exciting new space.

  

• Memories of our Queen

  After a request from BBC Radio Berkshire, our children took the time to draw beautiful pictures and write messages on hearts to share with the Royal Family after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The messages are currently on display at Windsor Museum so people can appreciate the heartfelt thanks and gratitude of Berkshire schoolchildren for The Queen's long and dedicated service.

   

  

• Year 5 win Tennis Bronze

• Sunshine in the Isle of Wight

  Year 6 had a fantastic time on their residential trip to the Isle of Wight. The sun shone and great fun was had by all.

  

• Kwik Cricket Triumph

  Congratulations to our Kwik Cricket team who won all of their matches at the annual competition at Bradfield College last week. The first time we have won the tournament in 10 years! Excellent teamwork and sportsmanship from the whole team.

  

• Year 1 Trip to The Novium Museum

  Our Year 1 children had a fabulous visit to The Novium Museum in Chichester on Thursday 19th May. They met the museum's toymakers and found out all about old and new toys, including the materials they are made from, how they were used and how toys have changed over the years. They had a great time solving riddles to find toys around the museum and had the opportunity to design their own toy for the future.
