  • SCHOOL GAMES 'GOLD' AWARD

    Woolhampton School has achieved ‘GOLD’ status in the West Berks School Games Mark 2018/19 academic year.

    This is a government led award scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of healthy competition across their school and into the community.  Mrs Javes, our Sports Coordinator says "I am so proud that we have been recognised for our hard work and success.  As part of our application we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, work force and clubs and I am so pleased that the hard work has been rewarded."

     

  • Heat Wave Warning

    We have been advised to prepare for a heatwave next week.  Please ensure that your child comes to school wearing sunscreen (already applied at home as we are unable to apply it at school).  They should also bring a hat and a large bottle of water.

    First day back in Sept 2019 – 4th September

    Dates for foundation children (in Sept)

    4th – 6th September – 8.50am (can be dropped off from 8.40am) – 11.45am (before lunch)

    9th – 10th September – 8.50am (can be dropped off from 8.40am) – 1pm (after lunch)

    11th – 13th September – full day 8.50am – 3.15pm

    Home visits for foundation – 4th – 10th September

  • Year 6 Adventure Week

    Year 6 Adventure Week was a great success.  The children had loads of fun trying out a wide range of adventurous activities.  They will be sharing their experience with parents during a special assembly - date to be confirmed shortly.  See the Year 6 Class Page for all the photographs.
  • FoWS Tidy Up Sessions

    FOWS will be calling on our community of parents, carers, families and teachers to join in a session or two to help tidy up the school grounds.  If you can hold a broom, use a paint brush, have a lawnmower, clean windows, pull up weeds or use a drill then we NEED you! 

     

    Extra bonus for anyone with artistic skills that might be able to help revive or redo the fun painting on the tarmac in the front school playground?!

     

    Work Party sessions confirmed as the following:-

     

    Thursday 20 June 3.15 - 5pm

    Sunday 23 June 10am - 2pm

     

    (Tea, coffee, squash and biscuits will be provided)
