  • Jubilee Celebration Day

    We all enjoyed a special Jubilee picnic lunch at the Douai Abbey field on Friday 13th May. Children were invited to wear red, white and blue and create crowns fit for a Queen. The sun made an appearance at just the right time and Mrs Howe baked delicious Jubilee cupcakes for everyone. It was truly a day to remember.

  • Community Clean-Up Day

    On Sunday 13th February we held a Community Clean-Up Day.  A massive thank you to Julie, Will, Tilly and the girls, Dave, Evie, Sharon, Helena and the boys.  We worked with gusto and the drank Gusto thanks to The Fugards! 

  • We’ve entered in the Fun & Active Playgrounds competition!!!

    We’ve entered in the Fun & Active Playgrounds competition and are in with a chance of winning a playground transformation worth £3000 for the new academic year! We’re crossing our fingers as the Silver Sports Package includes 6 bright and colourful playground markings that encourage physical play and activity. With a Netball Court, Dance With Me, Active Trail, Jump Game, Dartboard and 4-Way Hopscotch – the range of markings can be used to enhance breaktimes and PE lessons!

  • House Competition Day

    On Friday 18th June, we had a great day taking part in a number of House Competitions!  Activities ranged from sporting events in the hall, to ping pong ball games in the classroom, to team construction challenges.  Lots of fun was had by all and we eagerly await the announcement of the overall winner...!  Go to the Gallery Page to see all the photographs.

  • Class Worship Leaders Commissioned

    On Wednesday 9th June, Rev'd Jane joined us for a special collective worship where she commissioned the Class Collective Worship Leaders.  Each leader received a very special sash made by our Chair of Governors, Mrs Jordan, and the deputy leaders each received a gold cross badge.

    Years 5 and 6 had a exciting afternoon at Bradfield College working in their science labs.  They used chemistry to investigate various reactions and solve crimes!  View our science page to see all the photographs. 

  • Summer Term 1 Welcome Back

    We are now back and enjoying the start of the Summer Term.  So far the weather has been very kind to  us and we have been enjoying being outside as much as possible.  We are also delighted that we are able to have whole school collective worships together once again (outside and distanced in our bubbles of course!).  We are very proud of our Class Collective Worship leaders in Y4/5 and 6 who are planning and delivering collective worship once a week. 

  • Tuesday 4th January - the school is CLOSED to ALL children

    As a result of the government announcement tonight, we will be closed all day on Tuesday as staff meet to try and arrange remote learning and in school teaching for Key Worker and vulnerable children.  Please keep an eye on your emails for further important updates.
  • Mrs Weight's 50 Years Celebration - Postponed

    Mrs Lorraine Weight MBE 50th celebration

    Unfortunately, due to the restrictions of the Covid virus we are having to postpone the tea party from 7th February to 25th July at Douai Pavillion. We are hoping that in 6 months’ time we will be able to gather staff, friends, parents and children together to celebrate Mrs Weight working at the school for 50 years. Please put this date in your diaries and we will let you know further details, via the school website, nearer the time.
