  • FOWS Carols by Fairy Light event 6th December

    It's not long now until the FOWS Carols by Fairy Light event.  Join us in the school hall on Friday 6th December at 6pm for an evening of festival carols and singing.  Tickets cost £5 adults and £3 children and they include mulled wine/hot chocolate and a mince pie/festive biscuit plus a visit to Santa's grotto.

    Our new 'English at Woolhampton' webpage has new resources to help you support your child with their reading.  These resources will be added to shortly, but currently you can find lists of recommended books for you to enjoy together and guides to help you support your child to develop their reading skills.  If you have any questions about how we teach reading at Woolhampton, or how you can help your child further, please come in and talk to us. 
  • New starters 2020 - Meet the Headteacher mornings 26th & 27th Nov

    On 26th and 27th November we are holding 'Meet the Headteacher' mornings for our new 2020 starters to come and meet our headteacher, Mrs Burns.  If you have a child who would like to join us next September, and you would like to arrange an individual appointment to speak to Mrs Burns, please contact the school office.    
  • FoWS Christmas Event 6th Dec

    FoWS invite you to join them for a very special Christmas Event on the evening of 6th December.  The event will start at 6pm and will include carols by fairy light, musical entertainment, Mrs Howe's hotdogs and a visit from Father Christmas.
  • New families open morning

    On 19th November we will be holding a 'New Families' open morning where we will be welcoming potential new families to have a look around our school.  The morning starts at 10am when there will be a tour around the school led by our headteacher, Mrs Burns.  This will end with refreshments and a talk by Mrs Montague, our early years teacher.  Children are most welcome to attend with their parents and can either join the tour, or stay and play in the classroom.  
  • Year 4,5 & 6 spend the day at Ferrises Wood

    On Wednesday, Years 4,5 & 6 had a brilliant day at Ferrises Wood.  See the Forest School website page (under Children) for all the photographs.  We made and cooked soup on the campfire, took part in various challenges and had great fun playing in the stream.  We would like to say a massive thank you to Mr and Mrs Moir for letting us use their woods and for all their help setting up and running the day, and a huge thank you to Mrs Howe for a fantastic day!
  • Choir singing at Remembrance and Douai Christmas Market

    Our school choir have been really busy lately practising for various events.  On Remembrance Sunday they sang beautifully at Midgham Church and this Sunday 17th November they will be singing at the Douai Christmas Market.  Come along and support them at 1:30pm.
  • Big Read Morning 12th November

    Don't forget - on Tuesday 12th November we will be holding our 'Big Read' morning.  Parents are invited to join their child in school to see how we teach reading at Woolhampton.  Come along at 9am to join in your child's lesson, and learn how you can support them further at home.  Refreshments will be provided in the hall after the event and you will have to opportunity to ask any questions you may have about reading.
  • Anti-bullying Week and Children in Need

    Anti-bullying week will start on Tuesday 12th November and the children are invited to mark the day by wearing odd socks.  During the week we will be launching our new 'Children's Voice' initiative and the theme will be preventing bullying.  On Friday 15th November the children have asked if they can celebrate Children In Need by bringing in their teddies dressed in spots.  We will be organising some fun games at lunch time that teddies are welcome to join in with!  We will be collecting money to support Children in Need and ask that the children bring in £1 - this can be brought in on Odd Socks Day on Tuesday, or Children in Need Day on Friday.
  • Remembrance Service 11th November
